Our visit to Godstone Farm and Playbarn in Surrey
My youngest son and I decided to visit Godstone Farm on a lovely sunny day, with the view that the fresh air and countryside would do us good and my son could explore the large farm and run wild in the many outdoor and indoor play areas.
The farm is quite large, with pigs, goats, rabbits and more animals, which if you want to buy some animal food, you can let the little ones feed some of the animals.
We followed the path which winds around the edge of the farm and wandered past lots of animals sunbathing.
The large play areas, and toboggan run were certainly a favourite with my son and the wonderful large sandpit, and outdoor play areas at the top of the hill, overlook the park and let the kids escape for a while.
We brought an ice cream which was great, but attracted the wasps, but that was not really a bother.
There is a cool indoor play area, which when its hot outside is great to escape to, and they opened the barn doors to let fresh air in. The drop slide was used constantly by my son, and the cries of wweeeee as he went down.
Godstone Farm is set among the beautiful rolling hills of the Surrey countryside, and it would be difficult to imagine a more perfect day out for children and adults alike. Once on the farm, whichever way you look you will find numerous interesting animals to discover, exciting play areas to enjoy and new experiences to make this a truly memorable day out. Our friendly experienced staff are always on hand to make sure your visit is a day to remember.
A pleasant tearoom is available for lunch and snacks and throughout the farm picnic tables are provided. We also cater for birthday parties and school outings.
All in all, a fantastic day out, and you could happily let the kids run wild in the great outdoor play areas, whilst you enjoy a picnic at the top of the hill.
