We recently visited Diggerland in Kent, which is one of 4 Diggerland parks
The park itself is spread across quite a large area, with various size diggers, trucks, cars and go karts which the kids, and adults, can drive.
I went along with my 2 children, aged 5 1/2 and 10 1/2, and I was pleasantly surprised that my youngest, being taller than 1.1 metres, can ride the diggers himself, and could drive a Go Kart – which he absolutely loved, and he didn’t have to sit on Daddys lap !
My daughter, being taller than 1.4 metres, could drive an actual 4×4 around a bumpy course, with me and my son sat in the back bring rocked and bumped about.
There are small diggers, where you have to use your skill to try to pick bricks out of stones, and knock over metal pins.
The highlight for both my kids, was the land-train, which pulled several barrels behind it, so of course, Daddy had to sit in one too !
My daughter braved Spindizzy – this is a digger which has seats on the front of the scoop and lifts you up and spins you around – not for me – but my daughter loved it.
The ideal venue for children’s birthday parties, Dumper Racing, corporate events, and JCB racing. In addition to the Diggerland rides and drives there are activities for children of all ages which include indoor play areas, and computer digger games.
There is plenty of free parking at all parks, disabled access and picnic areas.
