A pleasant stay awaits you at Shorefield Country Park.
With its leafy lanes, quiet paths and lovely lodges, you are sure of a peaceful, and family friendly stay.
We were lucky to be able to spend a week at Shorefield Country Park, in a lovely 3 bedroom lodge. The wooden lodges have all the comforts of home, and are well laid out, with lots of space for the children.
When we arrived, we went to the entertainment complex, and found a Nintendo Wii games tournament, which my 3 kids absolutely loved, and were so surprised to find.
We went to the on site supermarket, which as you would expect was a bit more pricey than that of an offsite supermarket, but its always fun to buy a few goodies for the kids.
The onsite restaurant has the lovely charm of a country pub, and we enjoyed a lovely meal and drinks which the kids loved.
The evening entertainment varies each evening, and we went along, and there were plenty of dance songs for the kids to dance to, as well as balloon games, and prize bingo. The highlight for our youngest son was meeting Cyril and Cybil, Shorefield's mascots, who sat at the front of the dance floor for ages giving everyone cuddles whilst the parents took lots of photos – even my 13 year old son was persuaded to have a photo !
We were lucky to have some wonderful sunny and warm days, so it meant we could take advantage of the indoor pool, as well as the crazy golf, which was enjoyable trying to find as we wandered through the lanes looking at the various mobile homes.
All in all, the entertainment that Shorefield put on, the standard of the accommodation, as well as the lovely locations, mean a very relaxing and enjoyable holiday can be had, at a very reasonable price, and you can visit some lovely places around the countryside whilst you are there.
