Win a family ticket to Scottish Maritime Museum Irvine

Home to Scotland’s national maritime collection, the award winning Scottish Maritime Museum is a great day out, with so much to do:
Explore Scotland’s ‘Cathedral of Engineering’ - the vast, former Linthouse shipyard building

Discover historic vessels such as Spartan, Scotland’s last Scottish-built puffer, the harbour tug Garnock and Carola, a steam yacht built in 1898

Test a model foam boat on our indoor boating pond or sail your own on our outdoor boating pond.

Learn about Scotland’s importance to maritime history, and about the people that built and sailed Scottish ships around the world

Irvine Public Tours

Leaving the Linthouse three times a day and lasting about 75 minutes you will visit the 1920’s Tenement Flat to step back in time in a typical shipyard worker’s home. Then weather permitting you can experience life at sea onboard MV Kyles, the oldest Clydebuilt vessel still afloat in the UK.
